The timing might be right for Kevin Daley's candidacy for State Senate. He officially tossed his hat into the ring yesterday!
The redistricting of the 31st Senate District might just allow the Lapeer County resident to reach a Senate seat. House and Senate districts are redistributed every ten years, and typically are drawn to favor the political party in favor. Currently in Michigan, both legislative chambers are controlled by Republicans. The district now has a Republican base of 52%.

Daley has served Lapeer County residents as a state representative for the past six years. Term limited out at three, two-year terms. No other Republican or Democratic candidates have announced their candidacy.
