Sgt. Davin Dumar, a wounded war veteran,  and his wife were shopping for a new home recently, with no idea of how the generosity of Kid Rock  would change their lives!

Dumar, who lost his leg in a 2011 attack in Afghanistan, was looking through model homes with his wife when they stepped into one filled with family, friends, representatives of the non profit group Operation Finally Home, and Detroit's own Kid Rock. Everyone was on hand to present Sgt. Dumar and his wife Dana with a mortgage free, 2,600 square foot home that will be complete by the end of 2012. "First of all, welcome home." said Kid Rock. "You are going to receive a fully- furnished home, top to bottom. Thank you for your service."

The construction costs of the home are being donated by Pulte Homes.

Operation Finally Home is a non profit group that builds homes for wounded war veterans returning from service. So far the group has built fifty homes in eleven states. Kid Rock met the nonprofit's founder at an event in Michigan and the two decided to work together to provide homes for wounded Michigan veterans.
