It’s time to show your support for the student rock band project “Third Degree Burns”, the group is having their seventh annual fundraiser concert, on February 22, at the Lapeer Country Club. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the music happens from 7 until 10 pm, with food and beverages available. Tickets are $5 a person at the door or can be purchased in advance from any band member.

Third Degree Burns is made up of student musicians members from Lapeer County. The band is part of the non-profit organization Young Musicians Community, that offers area students free music lessons and teaches them how to perform, all while building skills, character and friendships by practicing and performing publicly throughout the year.

All funds raised will be used to fund scholarships, purchase new equipment and instruments, repairs of equipment and instruments, expenses for performance and program expansion which hopefully one day would be to have their own recording center.

If you who would like to be a sponsor and help keep the student band project alive contact Gary Burns at 810-441-6672 or visit the Young Musicians Community website y-m-c.org
