Lily, a Lapeer first grader, absolutely owned the competition at her first talent show with this glow-in-the-dark stick figure hula hoop routine.

Lily Basman performed in her first talent show at Lapeer's Shickler Elementary last Thursday (May 21st). Attendees were probably expecting another adorably pitchy rendition of that song from 'Frozen' until all the lights dropped and Lily hit the stage in glowing attire to LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem.'

Usually, this is not the level on inventiveness you get from a first grade talent show, but Lily brought it for her routine. The idea was a collaboration between Lily and her mother, Kristina Whitcomb, who told us, "[Lily] wanted the glow sticks on her hula hoop, and I showed her a video of a stick figure outfit thinking it would make her less scared/shy since [the audience] can't see her face. And it worked!" Yes it did.

If she keeps this up, she might make our next "Entertainers From the Flint Area" list -- see gallery below.
