Lapeer High School Girl Claims She Was Kidnapped And Raped

Police are investigating claims from a 15 year-old Lapeer High School student that she was attacked and sexually assaulted while she was walking home from school last Thursday.

She reported to police that she woke up in Rowden Park after being kidnapped on Saginaw Street near Hartley Street at a bout 2:30pm the day before. She reported that a blue pickup truck stopped and a heavy set, six-foot tall man with short hair and a dark complexion, grabbed her and forced her in the truck. The girl said he drove to a place near the Pines of Lapeer Apartments and raped her in a field. She woke up the next morning in Rowden Park.
