One of the most important events in the evolution of U.S. labor laws was the famous Sit-Down Strike that went down here in Vehicle City back in the 1930s. The 44-day strike ran from 1936 to 1937.

Over the weekend, Richard Wiecorek passed away.  He was last known survivor of the strike, and spoke about the strike just two weeks ago.
