Lapeer Lifeguard Shortage Closes Water Parks Two Days A Week

Summer is here! The heat is on, and the water parks are supposed to be open everyday, but they need lifeguards to do that. Until those jobs are filled the parks will be closed on Monday & Tuesdays.

They need at least three more lifeguards, a total of 12, to remain open all week. Lifeguards are required to have American red Cross lifeguard training, and they would get roughly 35 hours per week at $7.25 per hour.
