The Lapeer Lighting football team punched their own ticket into the Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs with their big win last Friday over Saginaw Arthur Hill, 69-0. Now, the unbeaten 'Lightning' team is assured of a spot after capturing their sixth straight win!

The six-win mark is mandatory for entry into the playoff format, and the Lightning just might be the team to beat when they begin. They have outscored opponents this year to the tune of 311-13, and appear to be a major threat to anyone when the playoff begin. This week the Lightning will take on Midland at home on Friday night, then still face Carman-Ainsworth on the road on October 17th, and the regular season finale against Davison at home on October 24th.
