The Detroit Lions have gotten off to the fast start they need to get ready for the 2011/2012 season.  The Lions agreed to terms with first-round pick Nick Fairley late Thursday night on a four-year deal worth $10 million.

The contract includes a $5.7-million bonus and a fifth-year team option.  Seventh-round pick Johnny Culbreath signed a $2.2-million deal with a $64,000 signing bonus, fifth-round choice Doug Hogue got a $180,000 bonus, and second-round picks Titus Young and Mikel Leshoure agreed to undisclosed deals.  Way to go, Lions Brain Trust!  Are you ready for some football?
