The performance of the Detroit Lions yesterday was more representative of the 0-16 Lions of a few years ago than the 5-0 Lions of this year.  The Lions couldn't seem to get out of their own way, committing penalties at the worst possible times and not executing when it was needed.  The Lions lost their second in a row, this time to the Atlanta Falcons at Ford Field.  The Final score:  Atlanta 23, Lions 16.  QB Matthew Stafford was 15/32 for 183 yards and one TD.  The TD toss was to Calvin Johnson, his tenth of the year.  The Lions travel to Denver next Sunday to take on the Tim Tebow led Broncos.
