Local Woman Killed In Head-On Crash

A 57-year-old Imlay City woman was killed Wednesday evening in a head-on crash in Bruce Township of Macomb County.
According to ClickOnDetroit.com, police said a car crossed the center line on M-53 between Van Dyke and 34 Mile Road and hit a vehicle being driven by a 57-year-old Imlay City woman. The woman's vehicle was hit head-on. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
It's unclear if the driver who hit the woman's car was injured, or how severely.
It doesn't appear alcohol was a factor in the crash, officials said.
Police said they are waiting on vehicle inspections and medical examiner results. The investigation is continuing, police said.
