Lou Reed Goes Doo Do Doo Do Doo Do In 1973
This week in 1973, Lou Reed’s “Walk On The Wild Side” hit the music charts and would make it up to number 16. The song is based on real characters in Lou’s life in the underground art world of New York City. The tune appears on the “Transformer” album which was produced in part by David Bowie who was a big fan of Lou and his music.
