A dress immortalized in "The Seven Year Itch" has attracted seven figures at a Beverly Hills auction. "New York Daily News" reports that the ivory halter worn by Marilyn Monroe in the 1955 film sold for four-point-six-million dollars on Saturday.

Profiles in History marketed the costume, which was expected to draw only around two-million dollars.  Marilyn's frock was among 700 items offered from the Debbie Reynolds Collection.  Reynolds, who's now 79, started to accumulate the memorabilia in the 1970s.  She calls her years of collecting an "obsession."  Debbie adds that she plans to offer more items at a second auction in December of this year.
