With the release date of Metallica's 3D concert film 'Through the Never' quickly approaching, fans can see both behind the scenes footage and clips from the actual movie in newly released videos.

After last week's release of 'Hit The Lights: The Making of Metallica's Through the Never' Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, the latest installment is now available. Chapter 3 (watch above) features the development and implementation of the electric chair effect from 'Ride the Lightning' using Tesla coils.

When talking about the electric chair effect in the video, guitarist Kirk Hammett says, "It's incredible when the electric chair comes down and the Tesla coils start firing and you have these huge lightning bolts coming out of it. It's super impressive."

Meanwhile, an exclusive clip from the movie is now available via 'Entertainment Weekly.' Not just a concert film, 'Metallica: Through the Never' also features a storyline where a roadie played by Dane DeHaan is sent on an urgent mission while Metallica is playing a concert and finds his world turned upside down.

In the clip, DeHaan encounters a riderless horse, a fleeing mob and a flaming police car, all while Metallica plays 'One.' You can watch the clip here.

'Metallica: Through the Never' debuts on IMAX 3D on Sept. 27, then will be theaters everywhere beginning Oct. 4.

On Friday (Sept. 21), Metallica will play a special show at New York's famed Apollo Theater to celebrate the return of the Mandatory Metallica channel to SiriusXM radio.
