Metallica Performs National Anthem At NBA Finals Game 5 [VIDEO]

Watch James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett play the Star Spangled Banner before the Golden State Warriors hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers last Sunday. Metallica has strong ties to the Bay Area and supports the local sports teams. The band was in attendance when the San Jose Sharks held ‘Metallica Night’ earlier in the year. Last month, Lars Ulrich threw out the first pitch, Robert Trujillo announced ‘Play ball!’ and Hetfield and Hammett performed the national anthem at the San Francisco Giants’ third ‘Metallica Day’ and even debuted black jerseys in honor of the heavy metal legends. The Warriors won Game 5 104-91 and are leading the series three games to two.
