Spring might start today but not before police announced yesterday that dozens of citations, mostly for driving too fast, will be issued in a 193 vehicle crash last January on I-94. One driver was killed and the freeway was closed for two days. We're required here in Michigan to drive at a “careful and prudent speed” based on road conditions. Most were ticketed for violating that law. "This crash is a vivid illustration of the dangers of traveling too fast on icy and snowy roads" said MSP Paw Paw Post Commander. "As drivers, we are responsible for controlling our vehicles at all times, no matter the weather or roadway conditions." It took police over 2 months to sort out exactly what happened.
