It was a wild night of thunderous storms last night with at least three confirmed tornadoes across the state, one of them sighted north of Lapeer County near M-53 and Deckerville Road shortly after 10 PM. There were a couple of unconfirmed sightings of tornadoes according to the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department. “There’s telephone poles busted in half and trees down, so something definitely came through,” said Imlay City resident Allen Karwowski who surveyed the damage while driving to work through Almont on M-53 this morning. “All the street lights are out and I saw some business signs down, too” he said.
