Michigan’s Joshua Davis Hangs On, Barely [Video]
Traverse City native Joshua Davis owes a debt of gratitude to tweeting fans, who kept him alive on NBC's vocal competition show, 'The Voice'.
Finding himself in the bottom three on Tuesday night results show, Joshua gave an impassioned take on Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down", which was enough to stave off elimination.
Viewers from around the nation tweeted their support of the former member of the Mid-Michigan band Steppin' In It, giving him the "Instant Save", keeping in the mix for the title for at least one more week. Past winners on the singing reality show have benefited from the "Instant Save" feature.

And who will they be working with next week? Here’s the breakdown by team:
- Team Adam: Joshua Davis – who was Insta-Saved by America.
- Team Christina: India Carney and Kimberly Nichole
- Team Pharrell: Koryn Hawthorne and Sawyer Fredericks
- Team Blake: Corey Kent White, Meghan Linsey, and Hannah Kirby
That means that Deanna Johnson and Rob Taylor ended their journey last night. We’ll see how it all shakes out on next week’s edition of “The Voice.”
