Exhibitionism, nine galleries showcasing over 500 unseen Rolling Stone artifacts from the band’s archives, opened in London this month. One of the showstoppers is an ‘immersive’ experience of the band’s filthy first flat in Edith Grove, Chelsea, that Keith remembers as “a pigsty, basically.” The recreation features half-filled milk bottles, a copy of Playboy under a bed, overflowing ashtrays, empty beer bottles and a sink piled with dirty dishes but it’s the faux smell that really places visitors in the squalor of the band’s early days. Watch Mick & Keith talk about Edith Grove.
