A new petition is making its rounds across Michigan and gaining signatures quick.

A group is asking Michiganders to regulate marijuana just like the state does alcohol by asking residents to sign a petition to legalize marijuana. The group known as the Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol wants to see the state not only legalize marijuana, but allow Michiganders to legally carry 2.5 ounces of cannabis or have up to 10 ounces of marijuana at home.

If the petition gets enough signatures and is gets put on the 2018 ballot, Michigan could become the next state to legalize marijuana. As it stands now, the 2.5 ounces on a person and 10 ounces at home is the highest limits allowed in the country.
