New Years Eve … Not So Sweet

The Detroit Red Wings didn’t start the New Year in the way they wanted.  P.A. Parenteau scored on a power play at 3:57 of overtime to give the New York Islanders a 4-3 victory over the Western Conference-leading Red Wings on Friday night. Parenteau put in a one-timer from the left faceoff dot for his ninth goal.
