April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and local organizations are holding a candlelight vigil tonight at the Flint Flat Lot to remember the children lost to abuse and neglect.

Whaley Children's Center, The Weiss Child Advocacy Center, and Priority Children are teaming up to host the candlelight vigil.  The vigil starts at 7pm tonight (Wednesday April, 27th) on the Flat Lot in Downtown Flint.

This is part of the "Paint Our Town Blue" campaign that's been running throughout April.

Throughout the event there will be various displays to reflect the number of child deaths in Genesee County, around the state, and the country.

Attendees are asked to wear their blue shirts to the event, and there is no donation required, so bring as many friends as you can.

If you have any questions about the event please call 810-600-0101.
