Paul McCartney is getting his own star on the celebrated sidewalk attraction, becoming the last of The Beatles to receive a solo star in his honor. Paul has star number the two-thousand-460, which will be placed adjacent to those of  John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr in front of the Capitol Records Building on North Vine Street.  McCartney is expected to attend the unveiling ceremony, which will take place this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. local time.  The event is open to the public.
Paul's star unveiling comes on a significant date in Beatles history.  It was 51 years ago today that Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison played their first concert as The Beatles at The Cavern Club in their hometown of Liverpool, England.  Today is also the 48th anniversary of The Beatles' first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show.
