"I won the Triple Crown right now but I don't make any money because I'm donating all the money to the City of Hope," said American Pharoah jockey Victor Espinoza after Saturday’s race, continuing a tradition in which he’s donated a portion of his winnings over the years. City of Hope is a California-based cancer research and treatment center. Espinoza rode American Pharoah to victory in all three races this season and said he knew at the Belmont's first turn that American Pharoah would win. It was third time’s the charm for Espinoza who came close to winning the elusive Triple Crown in 2002 on War Emblem and in 2014 on California Chrome but came up short at Belmont Park both times.
