Phil Collins says he's shopping a project to publishers, but it's not a rock and roll tell-all it's a book about the history of Texas. Phil is a longtime collector of memorabilia from The Alamo.  He adds that he even has a bullet once owned by Crockett in his collection.  Phil says his interest in the Alamo and Texas itself dates back to watching tv episodes of the "Davy Crockett" in the mid-1950s.  Collins also shares that writing the book's taken up "most" of his time recently.

It's a change in direction for the 60-year-old rocker, who's said he's tapering off his music career after an injury to one of the vertebrae in his neck.
