Prop 1 Vote Less Than 1 Week Away: Who’s Funding Safe Roads Yes!?

On May 5, we’ll head to the polls to vote on raising Michigan’s sales tax from 6 to 7 percent to help fund roads. I wondered who was funding the Safe Roads Yes! television ads I’ve been seeing. Safe Roads Yes! has raised $8.7M to promote Prop 1 according to campaign finance reports with more than half of the dollars coming from an association representing construction companies across the state including road and bridge builders.
