King Crimson was a pioneer of the art rock movement that became so popular in the early 1970's.  Yes, Genesis, The Moody Blues, Emerson Lake & Palmer and others followed, most all giving The Beatles Sgt. Peppers project a tip of the hat.  Their 1969 debut remains the high point in their long career, still sounding remarkably dramatic after all this time.  Perhaps only Greg Lake, with his youthful confident vocals, could get away with singing about fire witches and dancing puppets to such effect.  We're rolling the rarely played classic title track today, don't miss it!  Out of town?  Listen live on-line.

The attention grabbing Court of the Crimson King album cover.  I still love it!
