Radioactive Tissue Boxes Pulled From Store Shelves
Eight radioactive tissue boxes have been pulled from store shelves at two home decor stores in Westchester County, New York. State Health officials say none of the boxes were sold to the public after they were shipped to Bed, Bath & Beyond store locations in Port Chester and Elmsford. Health officials say they have been assured by nuclear regulatory authorities the boxes are not a health threat. Officials believe that the radiation may have been added to the Dual Ridge Boutique model tissue box holders from scrap metal during the smelting process.
