What does fireworks, a parade, Joyride, a foam pit, two Minions, a watermelon catapult, Grand Marshall Kip Reeves, a pickle-eating contest, The Deatles, a blueberry pie-eating contest, Lego building, a Paint Party, street chalk drawing, a petting zoo, a beer tent, Third Degree Burns and a pet parade (with awards for Scariest Costume and Most Patriotic) have in common? They’re all part of the 35th Annual Imlay City Blueberry Festival this Friday (7/24) and Saturday (7/25). Fireworks will be at 9:15 PM on Friday at the Eastern Michigan State Fairgrounds. The parade begins at 6 PM on Saturday and will travel north on Almont Avenue from the fairgrounds to Grove Street. The theme this year is ‘Throw Back To The 80s.’ For more information go to [imlaycityblueberry.com] or call the Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce at 724-1361.
