The British Invasion of rock and roll in the U.S.A. got kicked into high gear this week in 1964.The Beatles reached the #1 spot on the music charts, with the single, I Want to Hold Your Hand. It was the first #1song for the Beatles and this would be the beginning of many more to come. Also this week in 1964, The Beatles second #1 hit song, She Loves You, was released.
