Ringo Starr On TV And New Album

Ringo Starr is hitting the small screen to spread the word about his next album.  The former Beatle has two TV appearances lined up next week. Ringo will be a guest on CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on Tuesday, and visit TBS' "Conan" on Wednesday.  The rocker's latest studio effort, "Ringo 2012," will be available Tuesday on CD and vinyl as well as digitally.  The nine-track project includes covers of the Buddy Holly song "Think It Over" and the folk classic "Rock Island Line."  For the album Ringo also revisits two of his own earlier songs.  The original version of "Step Lightly" is on the 1973 album "Ringo."  "Wings," which is the lead-off single from "Ringo 2012," is from the 1977 album "Ringo The 4th.
