Ron Wood to Close London Bluesfest
Reed is best known for classics like ‘Baby, What You Want Me to Do,’ ‘Bright Lights, Big City’ and ‘Big Boss Man.’ “Jimmy Reed was one of the premiere influences on the Rolling Stones and all the bands that love American blues from that era until the present day,” Wood said in a statement about the performance.
Tickets for all BluesFest performances are now on sale at the festival’s website. The Ronnie Wood Band’s show will take place at the Royal Albert Hall. Earlier the same night, Van Morrison and Mick Hucknall will lead an all-star tribute to Bobby Bland.
Other artists lined up for evening performances during the four-day festival include the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Bobby Womack, Natalie Cole and Robert Plant with the Sensational Shape Shifters. There is also a full daytime schedule for the festival, which starts on Oct. 29.
