The streets of downtown Lapeer will be filled with Christmas ornament-making, cups of hot chocolate, hay wagon rides, a petting farm, a piano recital, a dulcimer jam and more this weekend (12/4, 12/5) and you’re invited to participate in a variety of these free events. The fun starts today (12/4) at 2 PM with Winter Market at the Farmers Market Pavilion, the lighting of the Christmas tree at 6:30 PM, a performance by the Bishop Kelley Children’s Choir at 7 PM and an ‘Old Tyme Christmas Radio Review’ at 7:30 PM at the Pix Theatre. WinterFest continues tomorrow (12/5) with tours of the courthouse by the Lapeer County Historical Society at 10 AM and the return of Santa and Mrs. Claus in the annual Christmas Parade at 11 AM.
