Semi Truck Hits Bridge, Causes Closure

Police blocked off N. Dort Highway between Pierson and Webster Roads at around 7 p.m. Monday night after a semi-truck struck a railroad bridge over Dort, according to scanner traffic.  Police said the road would remain closed as a precautionary measure until an engineer visits the scene to check the integrity of the bridge.  Police said there were no major injuries in the crash and railroad personnel were expected at the scene Monday night.
