If your a Vietnam veteran The Lapeer County Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for letters written by veterans serving in Vietnam sent to family and friends back home.
In their press release the LCVA is asking Vietnam veterans and their families to bring their letters to their office where they will be copied and placed on a traveling Letters Home Wall. The wall will be displayed at events across central and northern Michigan this fall and winter, including the Honoring Heroes program at the DuPont Lapeer Airport.
There's also the chance for you to create an audio and or video reading the letter. Recordings will be part of WCMU prelude to Ken Burn's documentary Vietnam.
A preview of the film will be shown September 9, at the Honoring Heroes event at the DuPont Lapeer Airport.
