Signs and orange barrels will start appearing on M-24 in the City of Lapeer starting this week according to the Michigan Department of Transportation with traffic control starting next week. This year’s work will be from Demille to Nepessing. You will not be able to make a left hand turn in the construction zone except at signals. And in case you missed it, a roundabout will be installed at the intersection of Lake Nepessing Road/Davison Road/Genesee Street in the next month or two with funding from the Federal Congestion and Air Quality Program. Roundabouts are popping up all over Michigan. Do you think a roundabout is needed? Are roundabouts annoying and dangerous or are they fun?
