I love the fact that good TV people have figured out that were not as dumb as they'd hoped! Some prime examples are Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart. In fact, rather than talk down to the crown like many TV personalities still do, they strive to make the viewer feel more like an equal.

Colbert did that last night, on his second Late Show, when he let us in on what happened behind the scenes on his first night. It was interesting to hear how the show is filmed six hours in advance, has to be cut down to the right length to go on the air, then the video files have to be transferred to CBS headquarters so they can broadcast it to us.

Keeping no secrets from his adoring fans, Stephen Colbert shared the story of his panic attack at 11:20pm on Tuesday (15 minutes to his first Late Show), when he still couldn't get confirmation from CBS that the show would air!
