Steve Miller Among Performers For Upcoming Texas Wildfire Benefit
Steve Miller is among the stars with ties to the Lone Star State who are coming together to help out following this summer’s devastating wildfires.
Steve is on board for “Fire Relief: The Concert for Central Texas.” He’s part of a lineup that also features Joe Satriani, Shawn Colvin, Willie Nelson, the Dixie Chicks, and Asleep at the Wheel. Austin360.com says Christopher Cross, Lyle Lovett, Randy Rogers, and the Court Yard Hounds are slated to perform as well, while “Friday Night Lights” star Kyle Chandler will be one of the concert’s emcees. The “Fire Relief” benefit is set for the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin on October 17th.
The fires that have burned this summer have been some of the most destructive ever in Texas, and have caused an estimated 250-million-dollars of damage. The money will go to the Central Texas Wildfire Fund.
