Steven Tyler is reaching out to an ailing fan.  The Aerosmith frontman recently participated in a video call with Lawrence Ori, a Chicago hospice care patient suffering from a degenerative disease called supranuclear palsy.  Tyler called Ori from Los Angeles via Skype, encouraging the Aerosmith fan to hang in there.  Ori was reportedly surrounded by friends and family wearing black Aerosmith T-shirts when the rocker called.  Tyler said he was moved to see such an outpouring of support around Ori.

The video meeting was arranged by the Passages Hospice Dream Foundation.  The nonprofit organization works to fulfill the dreams of hospice patients while improving their quality of life.
