A new study concludes that the vast majority of Americans eat too much salt.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 90-percent of people over age two take in too much sodium.  The salty problem is not potato chips or french fries. The CDC blames bread products.  One slice of bread can have over 200 grams of salt.  The average American eats about 33-hundred grams of sodium per day.  The recommended amount is 23-hundred grams daily.  The CDC warns overdosing on salt raises blood pressure, which can cause heart disease.
