Australian space man Billy Thorpe came over here in the late 1970's and had a pretty big hit album with Children of the Sun.  Big enough in fact, it's all he's remembered for here, although he made many many other records and branched off into production among other things...

We're beaming you up today with "Children Of The Sun".  Wildly popular in Australia for many years, Billy Thorpe only hit one time here in the States in 1979 with what he called a "space opera".  The once popular request song gets a rare spin on today's Vinyl Vault for the crew at JLC...
