Eric Burden and the Animals

Some of the Animals latter day work today, firmly planted in counter culture anti war hippy dippy heaven.  Eric Burden and the boys actually moved to the west coast during the late 1960's and became part of it.  Proof is today's gem Sky Pilot, a bag pipe charged piece of history that the boys had a huge hit with, so lengthy it took both sides of a 45rpm...

Around this time 45 years ago the Monterey International Pop Festival took place and ended up being the first big rock festival, providing inspiration for the others that followed, including the Woodstock Festival, two years later.  At only around 60,000 attendees, it paled next to Woodstock's massive 500,000 mess, but still, it went down in history as the first, introducing the world to Jimi Hen
