The Animals frontman Eric Burdon says he's not surprised Bruce Springsteen is acknowledging the group's influence on him.  Eric tells "Rolling Stone" he could tell his band had inspired the New Jersey rocker "by listening to his music."

British pub owners in the 60's would complain about this bands rowdy stage act - one in particular said, "They act like a bunch of animals!"  Well, the name stuck, even if the rowdy behavior didn't ... they became peace loving hippies later!  I always thought they stood out from the others with their darker and more serious nature.  Burdon's monoto
