Kiss and Motley Crue are on the road this summer for a co-headlining jaunt dubbed simply ‘The Tour,’ but this isn’t the first time they’ve shared a bill — and when Paul Stanley appeared recently on Nikki Sixx‘s ‘Sixx Sense’ radio show, the duo looked back on the time Kiss gave Motley one of their first big breaks.
You can’t accuse Kiss of not being savvy self-promoters. The legendary hard rockers, whose image graces everything from caskets to condoms to toilet paper, have announced they will reveal the cover art to the upcoming album ‘Monster’ via a scavenger hunt online.
Kiss have made it more and more of a priority in recent years to salute America’s veterans and service men and women, and that will continue Thursday night (July 19) with a special private show at Bristow’s Jiffy Lube Live on the eve of opening night in Virginia.
As previously announced, the classic Kiss album ‘Destroyer’ is getting the deluxe treatment. According to Bravewords, a release date has finally been set for August 21. The 35th anniversary deluxe edition will be a two-CD set that will include rare material as well as a new remix of the album, done by original producer Bob Ezrin.
Kiss frontman Paul Stanley says former bandmates Peter Criss and Ace Frehley became “impossible” and “intolerable” and that he hasn’t talked to either in years. If fans were hoping for another reunion, it’s not going to happen.
Kiss have given a few more details about their upcoming album, ‘Monster.’ The first single is ‘Hell or Hallelujah’ and will be released July 2. The artwork, which features the four band members in full Kiss makeup and a silver version of the Kiss logo, is seen to the left.
Gene Simmons may like to boast that he’s never been drunk or high in his life, but he’s about to get ‘Tanked.’ Kiss will appear on the next episode of ‘Tanked,’ a show on the Animal Planet cable channel. The program will center on the owners of the Las Vegas-based Acrylic Tank Manufacturing company as they build a giant Kiss-themed aquarium for the band’s Monster Mini Golf course in Vegas.
It’s become a cliche for Kiss fans to take pictures of themselves dressed and made up as their heroes. But one organization has gone in the opposite direction. On Sunday (June 3) a online community of nudists held a private function at the band’s Monster Mini Golf course in Las Vegas, which opened in March.
