Five branches of the Lapeer District Library – Lapeer, Columbiaville, Elba, Otter Lake and Metamora – will be collecting winter items for those in need with Mitten Trees. Handmade and store-bought hats, mittens gloves, scarves and socks in children through adult sizes will be collected until December 20

Summer reading programs are continuing at the branches of the Lapeer District Library. On Tuesday, July 23 at 1 p.m. the popular magician Baffling Bill, will appear on the lawn of the Marguerite deAngeli Library. Before the program, lunch will be offered to anyone under the age of 18 by the Lapeer Community Schools.
