This Saturday (12/14) stop by All Dogs Can at 2040 North Lapeer Road just north of Daley Road. Lapeer’s Adoptable Animals Christmas Paw-ty will be happening from noon until 4pm.
It’s “National Mutt Day” celebrating mixed breed dogs - the Mutt.
The day is set up to raise awareness of the plight of mixed breed dogs in shelters and to educate the public about the number of mixed breed dogs that are waiting to be given a loving and caring home.
It’s Adopt a Senior Pet Month, save an older pet and make it part of your family. An older, emotionally mature pet can often be a great fit at. Senior pets are fully developed, you already know the size, appearance, behavior and personality.
You still have time to take part in "Adopt a Shelter Dog Month". K-9 Stray Rescue League at 2120 Metamora Road in Oxford, is a state and federally licensed non-profit group formed in 1990 primarily to save dogs on the euthanasia list at local animal shelters.
Take a walk on Saturday (6/15) and help out two causes The Friends of Poly Ann Trail and Lapeer’s Adoptable Animals. The Polly Ann Trail in Lapeer County is a rail-to-trail project that runs through some of the most scenic settings in the area.
The trail walk begins in Downtown Imlay City at 9am
