‘Watch’ Leonid Meteor Shower On the Radio?
When you head out tonight to catch the yearly Leonid meteor shower, don’t despair if there’s a cloud cover. According to Discovery, a standard FM radio tuner can be used to listen for high-speed meteors hitting the Earth’s atmosphere. They explain that meteors create a trail of ionized gas and it’s possible for radio signals to bounce off these trails and be picked up over the airwaves.
