National Bird Day

Putting the spotlight on our feathered friends today. January 5th is National Bird Day a day to appreciate our own native wild birds flying free outside our windows, and a day to reflect on how we treat the native birds of other countries.

Today is National Bird Day, saluting are feathered friends. According to nationalbirdday.com, nearly 12 percent of the world's 9,800 bird species may face extinction within the next century, including nearly one-third of the world's 330 parrot species.
