“Walk for Warmth” is happening this Saturday February 22, at Lapeer’s Historic Courthouse on Nepessing Street in downtown Lapeer. The statewide event is sponsored by Community Action Agencies, to raise money to help local families in need to heat their homes. Local citizens gather pledges and walk a one-mile route in the cold to keep others warm.

To make a donation to the “Walk for Warmth” fund and obtain more information on the event and how to sign up call the Lapeer County Human Development Commission office at (810) 664-7133 or go to hdc-caro.org
