Taste Of Lapeer Just Around The Corner

Lapeer Area Citizens Against Domestic Assault, (LACADA) will be holding it’s annual fundraiser “Taste Of Lapeer” on Thursday, October 4 at 5:30pm at the Lapeer Country Club on Hunt Rd.   This exciting charitable event allows people the opportunity to sample delicacies from many area restaurants all in one location.  While attendees enjoy the amazing cuisine a live auction is held.   This year’s live auction is full of many unique and interesting items, such as wine tasting packages, a Broadway Show, hunting & sports events, a Mackinaw Island golf package, U of M and MSU tickets, Traverse City Wine tour, a stay at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa with a round of golf, Pistons tickets, custom made jewelry, gourmet dinners, and much, much more.   Many items are donated by local residents and businesses.  This event is one not to be missed!

All proceeds raised by this event go directly to LACADA, Lapeer County’s domestic violence and sexual assault emergency shelter and outreach program. LACADA services include; Safe emergency shelter, a 24hr. Crisis Hotline, Crisis Intervention and a variety of support services.  LACADA also operates an Outreach office that provides support services to survivors not in need of shelter and operates 9- long-term Transitional housing units.  All services are free of charge and confidential.
